On the day of 55th Anniversary of Bank Indonesia (July 1st, 2008), the website of Bank Indonesia (www.bi.go.id) has been launched with new design and several improvements. The main objective of this upgrade is to create a more user friendly communication media. In this newly presented website categories are better classified, complete with new features and most updated data. "We really hope that this website will be able to help the people, including international society, in finding reliable and credible information in financial and banking sector", stated Boediono, the Governor of Bank Indonesia, in his speech welcoming the new display of the website.
With clear categorization and attractive visual design such as the availability of the supporting graphic of the latest data, it will be easier for user to obtain specific information. Query facility on the data presented will assist user in optimally using the obtained data. Easy access to the website will not only provide user with the latest data/information on economy but also with publications related to research and studies conducted by Bank Indonesia. The improvement for a more accurate search engine facility will also complete the easiness for those in search of data.
In addition to that, in order to assist mobile telecommunication devices in need of urgent information on most updated data, the site is also equiped with RSS or Really Simple Syndication facility. Consequently, using their devices users will be promptly informed on the updated data. "All this is our effort in providing the best service for the public", added Boediono.
